Learning with Central DT:
Our instructors hold additional qualifications, which means that our way of teaching may be different to your previous experiences. If you have had lessons before.
If you have never driven you will find the lessons to be a structured learning programme, where learning will be seen to have taken place by yourself and the instructor. This means that learning to drive safely can be done in a short time frame. This does require commitment from you as a student, but it also guarantees that your knowledge base will grow.
Because statistically young, new drivers, have a greater risk of being involved in a serious collision, it is important that as your learning develops so do your skills to assess risk, this will help you to deal with most eventualities when driving alone.
You will be involved every step of the way with your progress, and your instructor will have a file of what you have done and how you are doing. You can give your feedback and discuss with your instructor how you feel you are developing and if you have any concerns.
As a well established professional training organisation, continuous development is important. For you as a learner and for us as a trainer. All our instructors take part in continuous professional development, acquiring new skills and being as up to date with changes in this industry as is possible. Because of our high level of qualifications, we also run training for driving instructors.
We have been cleared by the criminal records bureau, as having no criminal activity in our past, and being able to work with young people. We are members of the Driving Instructor Association, and have signed up to their code of conduct. One of our directors is a national representative for the DIA.
Approved by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) to carry out driving instruction. Our instructors hold a green badge, which means they are fully qualified to give instruction. If an instructor has a pink badge then they have not completed the qualifying process.
